Background:
4Social was setup by Matthew Phelan and Chris Hyland the co-founders of the integrated search agency
Positioning:
In 2009 we seriously considered starting a social media agency as the market developed. However, we could also see many Social Media Agencies were running projects for clients that were failing badly. This is not to say that they were bad agencies but we decided to look into why this was happening.
Our conclusion was that these agencies were getting caught up in big ideas / exciting projects but were ignoring the core principles of marketing. Later on these agencies then became obsessed with the tools they were using to measure success. So we were looking at a market with many agencies obsessed with measuring ideas that were struggling to get a return on the clients investment
So instead of jumping in we started a 1 year roll out of test campaigns through our sister brand 4Ps Marketing. After 1 year of quantifiable tests we were ready to launch 4Social as a standalone offering and we now have the experience and clients to grow and expand as a credible social media agency.
Not only do we work with our clients to develop, implement, measure and evaluatate; we project manage projects so that campaigns are integrated with the entire marketing mix, be it online or offline.
